How God Made A Soldiers' Angel

The following writing is by angel Bessie. She has given me permission to share it with you. I needed a kleenex when reading it. Please leave her a comment here and let her know what you think of it.

How God Made A Soldier’s Angel!

One day God was walking around in Heaven just looking ever thing over. He took time to stop and smell the flowers and to talk to the people and say hi to the angels. He didn’t stay long talking to any one he kept walking but one angel ask him if he had seen what was going on out the window. So God walked over to the window looking out over the world. Every few minutes the scene would change. As they were watching a scene came up on a base camp. And god saw the soldier’s some was reading letters they had got from home and the Sgt was still calling out names. Some soldier’s was still waiting and the waited and waited by the end of the name calling still there were Soldiers that had not had there name called. They dropped there head and walked off slowly. You could just tell that it had broke there heart not to have a letter from a loved one. God thought they look so sad. He wondered if there was any thing he could do about it. So he ask the angel that was standing next to him if she would like to help the Soldier’s out. And of corse she said yes Lord I will do what I can to help in any way. So God said if you could just write the Solder that don’t get there name called at mail call. So the angel said yes. So the next day she went to the window in time for mail call. The first day she only had a couple of names. So that was not so hard then the next there was a lot more names and the Angel thought she would need help so she started asking the mothers in heaven if they had sons that had been in the Military. So soon she had a band of helpers. But still it was not enough. So one night the Angel was watch over the earth and she heard a woman praying and she was praying for her son in the war. And that give the Angel a ideal. The next night when it was time for the lady to go to bed and say a prayer for her son. The Angel was at window and as the woman laid down to sleep the angel cause the woman to have a dream. The lady here on earth dreamed about all the soldier’s that did not get any mail call at all. So before long she wrote her son and ask him about it and did he have any buddies that didn’t get mail. And he sent her a list of names and address. So before long this ladies days were full. So she started telling her friends and they started telling their friends. And be for long she had a group of ladies writing. The next thing you know we had Soldier’s Angels down here on earth. We have grown and just keep on growing. And ever so often there is a Angel in Heaven that looks down on all the Soldier’s Angels and smiles. God looks down on us and smiles also.
