An update on "G." the Marine in Need:
The family is very excited to be moving to San Diego and G. says they already love this area for all the support they received and will be able to deal with his son's ongoing care without a problem. Their daughter has also received an outpouring of support and the family is overwhelmed at how much Soldiers’ Angels has done for them.
Over the past few days, the family has received a great amount of support from The Armed Forces of the YMCA, the local Navy Relief, and his unit which stepped in to provide additional support until his orders are complete. With all this support and the support received from Soldiers’ Angels, the G. family feels their needs have been more than met. G. actually commented that they felt guilty with all the support while knowing that there are so many other military members who are in need.
This comment came directly from his command: As for the assistance that you all have been giving him, it has been very awesome and more than what he and I expected. We are so grateful knowing that you all are out there, and are willing to stop or put your lives on hold to assist our Marines and sailors at a drop of a hat. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The G. family requests that your prayers continue for their son, as they are still much needed.
Anyone who would like to offer additional support, we do have two other families who are also in critical need of support and the G. family feels these heroes are more in need of our help than they are. The G. family feels they will never be able to say thank you enough to everyone who helped in their time of need.
The two others in need are Olson & McCutchen. Click here to read their stories.
