The Soldiers' Angels Riding Club

Updated & bumped up-

Received the following comment from Gino:

I'm a member of the S.A.R.C. We are an extremely active group with missions practically every week. It is tiring but well worth it to help our heros past and present and their families. We have out-of-state memberships for those who would like to support our cause. Our founder Amy and many of our members work tirelessly to ensure that our missions get completed. Please feel free to check out our website at: www.pasarc.com

We have our annual run on August 19th and would love to see you all there. If you don't have a bike, no problem. we are a Riding club. You can tail behind in a car. It's not about the bikes (although they are cool:) ) no really, all of the support that we can get would be appreciated. Thanks, Big Gino the Cow Butcher/S.A.R.C.

One of Soldiers' Angels lesser known endeavors is the Soldiers' Angels Riding Club. Started by Amy, a Soldiers' Angel in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, this is the first social riding group of Soldiers' Angels, Active Service Members, Veterans and friends dedicated to supporting our American Service Members individually and through the Soldiers' Angels and their efforts.

On August 19th, SARC will be holding their 2nd Annual Angel Run to assist our Wounded American Service Members and their families by supplying "Transitional Backpacks" to our support hospitals. The hospitals receive injured and ill soldiers on a daily basis, who often arrive wearing the uniforms they were wounded in. The Transitional Backpacks include T-Shirts, phone cards, letters of support, a hand made Blanket of Hope, snacks, underwear, socks, etc.

According to Amy, people do not have to be motorcyclists to get involved in SARC. All you have to do is go to the SARC website and make contact. The SARC is also involved in visiting Veterans, doing welcome home or send off rides for our troops, honoring our fallen troops, and more.

I sure wish I lived closer, because I would *love* to join and get one of those vests!

If you are anywhere near Northeast Pennsylvania, check them out. They do a lot of great work.
