I’m submitting this update to you simply because I work so many hours and I have forgotten how and where. When a friend signed me up with soldier angels I thought it would probably turn out to be a joke and receive nothing but junk mail. I did learn one thing since being deployed for a little over 5 mos. And that is how wrong I was. The packages that we have received have been phenomenal and if you could see the looks on some of the faces you yourselves would know how wonderful your jobs really are. In our short time here in Iraq we have just lost our first soldier in theater and for many of us our first war. The soldier that was killed it was also his first deployment. He was just fresh out of AIT and had just returned from R&R visiting his mother. He was only back for 5 days when he died but he left an everlasting mark on x Btry xxxx FA. Spc. XXXXXX only wanted money for education so he could go home and be a PSY. He was just 20 yrs old. Everyone left here now walks around in sober moods doing their jobs and wondering when they will be going home. So please tell the rest of the angels how good of a job they are doing because every package, note and email we all receive brings a little smile to our faces. Thanks again.
