Sean Who?

An angry Sean Penn has made a rare TV appearance to demand Americans fight to get their troops sent home from Iraq. The reclusive movie icon appeared on Thursday night's Larry King Live show on CNN and stated he could see no worth in keeping U.S. soldiers stationed in the Middle East war zone.

I'm sorry, but.... who are you? Some analyst? Politician? Military strategist? No? What...an actor? Oh, that figures. Because it seems some actors and certain other segments of our society go around stamping their feet and demanding that a bunch of other people should do exactly what they want, all the while saying they have the freedom to try to whine, cajole, and coerce people to their way of thinking. And the ones who use their celebrity to do so are the loudest and most obnoxious of them all.
A physically anxious Penn said, "I think the American people have a choice...It's about an eight-to-10-year proposition of Iraqis and Americans and others dying in Iraq, the same amount will be dead of Iraqis, innocent, in 10 years without the Americans as there will with the Americans there; we'll just have more Americans dead.

Sorry, Sean, it's a free country. I don't share your opinions and I don't buy into your little pout fit, while you pretend that you are only concerned about saving the lives of American troops. Our troops are there and they need to finish the job.

Sean makes his living pretending to be things he is not. Maybe this is just a role. Why would we take him seriously on any issue that requires serious thought and understanding? Why does anyone care about what the Hollywood crowd thinks? When he has some skin in the game, he can add his two cents to the discussion. Until then, stick to pretending....

Makes one wonder exactly what Penn's point actually IS, beyond an uncontrollable outburst of BDS...
