So, I've been playing catch up the past several days. It's nice to unplug and take a vacation, but the work is still waiting for you when you get back.... I'm not caught up yet, but here is a new blog to tell you about:
Soldiers' Angels Medical Support
This is the team which is supplying Combat Support Hospitals with items for their patients. Everything from basic needs like sheets, clothing, hygiene items and blankets to comfort items such as stuffed animals, snack bags, and toys for the littlest patients.
We are also still getting many new service members signing up, and need more angel support. Can you help us spread the word that we are still looking for people who are willing to write letters and send packages throughout the length of their deployment? Tell them to visit www.soldiersangels.org and sign up. Do you know someone who would join but who may not have computer access? Let me know, we have people who will call them instead. Can you hang up posters in your workplace or in your neighborhood? If so, let me know. Every single new supporter can make the difference in the morale of our troops. Many in our country seem to have forgotten that there is a war going on, and we have troops in harms way.
