This is in memory of Myung-Woo Lee.
There is not much information available on the internet about Myung-Woo Lee. I am not even sure of gender, though I do believe that is a man's name. I did learn that he was 41 years old and worked as a tax auditor for the NY State Department of Taxation and Finance. He lived in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
In the weeks since I was assigned his name, I have wondered about him. Did he have family and friends? If not here, surely in some other country. What about pets, did he keep a furry mammal or perhaps a bird? I imagine that he was good at his job and had an attention to detail. Beyond that, I don't know. I think about his commute to the city. Did he bring his lunch, or go out? What were his hopes and dreams? These questions and many more have filled my head and may never be answered.
My own memories of that day have not dimmed, and now when I think of it, I will also think of this tribute and Myung-woo Lee. Please join me in remembering him today.

I too will remember Myung-Woo Lee with you.
Never forget.
Remembering with you ... I honor Christopher Paul Slattery.
In some ways I think it is even more important to remember those about whom we know so little....because each person lost on 9/11 is important. Thank you for remembering Myung-woo Lee.
