Mrs. G. has a post up today about many US Air Force activities that are not very well known. It is very informative.

One thing she didn't mention is Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Teams. As you probably know, IED's are a major source of casualties and injuries to our service members, and the cause of the need for the Soldiers' Angels Valour-IT project.

Give to Project Valour-IT by clicking the thermometer graphic at the top of this post. And then go read about Staff Sgt. Matt Slaydon, an EOD technician, and his recovery from injuries suffered during his 3rd deployment. The story is here in the Airman Magazine.

A bus loaded with injured Soldiers and Airmen is in position behind a C-17 Globemaster III at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. The C-17, from the Mississippi Air National Guard in Jackson, Miss., is part of a larger strategic airlift mission delivering supplies and transporting passengers worldwide.
