I just wanted to drop you a quick hello and thank you for what you have done. I sincerely appreciate the care package that you sent for my Marines and I. There are many days when where we miss a meal or weeks without a shower due to operations going on. That being said, the boys and I were truly happy to get some packages in the mail. Getting mail in general is definitely a moral booster. The weather over here is brutal at times. The heat index most days is well over 110 degrees. Most of my platoon deployed with me last year. We returned to the states late x and we got back in country in x. It’s amazing what a person can get used to. We have a rough job to do but we chose this path, this life of honor. I agree that most days here are full of horrors that families and friends don’t need to know about. These men I serve with, these brave souls that continue to fight for one another, I am truly proud of. I thank you for what you have done, because a lot of people back home forgot that we’re still here. The only thing we ask is that people never forget, God knows that we surely won’t. Again, I thank you and my Marines thank you. God Bless
We haven't forgotten you.
