Mrs. G. has a post up today about many US Air Force activities that are not very well known. It is very informative.
One thing she didn't mention is Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Teams. As you probably know, IED's are a major source of casualties and injuries to our service members, and the cause of the need for the Soldiers' Angels Valour-IT project.
Give to Project Valour-IT by clicking the thermometer graphic at the top of this post. And then go read about Staff Sgt. Matt Slaydon, an EOD technician, and his recovery from injuries suffered during his 3rd deployment. The story is here in the Airman Magazine.

re: Mrs. Greyhawk. Good stuff be there, Laurie. Thanks for the link.
Mrs. G left out the TAC-P guys, tho. Kinda surprising, as these guys are at the tip o' the spear, in every sense of the word.
OT... but. I hope you and yours had a warm, peaceful, and happy Thanksgiving, Laurie and AB.
And THANK YOU so very much for all you do for our troops.
Thank YOU, Buck! Yes, Thanksgiving was good! I celebrate two. Once up here in the great white north(we are a couple of weeks ahead of you all.lol) and then by proxy with all my American buddies. Works for me :)
